Sale-A-Bration Event Make & Takes

These are the Make & Take projects from my Sale-A-Bration event. The top picture shows the "Winter Warmer", which is a hot chocolate sachet, a packet of mini marshmallows & a stirrer - perfect for the snowy evenings we've been having recently!
The 2nd & 3rd pictures show a Ferrero Rocher treat holder, made using DSP, a punched scallop circle & some grosgrain ribbon. These would be great as wedding/party favours, as you could easily match the party colour scheme.
The 4th & 5th pictures show a lolly holder - this is cased from Jo (Jomumof4 on ILWS), another UK demo, but I've changed the top slightly so that it could be used for boys as well as girls. Very quick & easy to do - & a great way of using up your card & paper scraps! The DSP part of the holder, where the lolly is, can be held together with brads or with glue dots. I've used glue dots, as I thought it was a safer option for children. Thanks for the idea, Jo!

Me & Shelli!

I had my picture taken with Shelli at this year's convention & remembered that I'd also been pictured with her last year. Having lost some weight recently, I was interested to compare it to the picture I had taken last year and was quite pleased with the results!

Please note that I haven't shrunk - Shelli was wearing higher heels at the convention than she was at the Experience evening, where I met her last time!

Left photo was taken July'08, right photo taken Nov'09.

RSW Demo Team Meeting

I met with some of my team of Stampin' Up! demonstrators today, for a full day meeting in my craft studio. Of those attending, all of us have been promoted since we last met, so I thought a fun day of crafting would be a good celebration! Debbi came up with the fantastic idea of having a shoe box swap! If you've never been to a shoebox swap, then you don't know what you're missing! You simply design a project and prepare enough supplies for everyone in attendance to re-create it! You put everything you need to make your project in a shoebox or similar container, plus any necessary instructions, then rotate around the room completing each others' projects. And what a fab time we had!

This is my project:

I wanted to highlight a slightly different use of punches - sometimes just using something in a different way can help your sales when demo-ing at a workshop. I used the scallop circle & scallop square punches to punch a central window on 2 3x3 cards. I used the Very Versatile Stampin' Up! set & finished with ribbon, punched flowers, brads, silver hodgepodge & Stampin' Glitter. Here's an inside view of the cards:

Here's a close up of the inside of the card where I used the Stampin' Glitter on the tree blossom:

Cute, but simple!

Debbi's gorgeous card used the Carte Postale Stampin' Up! stamp set & the delicate Certainly Celery & Pretty in Pink colours:

And of course, it included ribbon! Debbi just loves her ribbon!! The one used here is white taffeta.

Helen's card was made using the Sense of Time Stampin' Up! stamp set:

This is the 1st time I've used this set since I bought it. The colours here are Very Vanilla & Not Quite Navy. The background was stamped with Versamark. A nice, simple card to make & effective for those men we jut love to make cards for!

Lastly, Margaret's card had the WOW factor:

This gorgeous chappie was made using various Stampin' Up! punches - isn't he lovely??!! A fun Christmas card - the 1st I've made this year!

Thankyou, ladies for coming along & making the day fabby!

A Great Weekend!

Hi all! I know it's been over a week since I last posted so I thought I'd give you a quick update.

We had a great workshop on Thursday (Stampin' Up! We made loads of great projects & it's given me plenty of ideas for next year's workshops! I'll post some pics of the projects when I get chance.

I've got a busy week this week - Altrincham RSG club tomorrow, Stampin' Up! customer workshp on Wednesday & the Tart & Tangy workshop on Thursday!

See you soon!

I'm Back! Again!!

I'm back from my 2nd visit this year to Cyprus - lovely weather, but I'm glad to be back because I'm soooooo excited about the new Stampin' Up! catalogue launch - tomorrow!!! I've already had a look through it (at 4am when we arrived back in the country!) & I think it's going to be another expensive year for me!! There are some really nice stamp sets & some exciting new punches & accessories, but I don't want to give too much away.

I've had some cancellations for my preview evening on Thursday, so I'll be sending out some more invites. If you want to come but don't hear from me, just email me.
