Welcome to the Rubber Stamping Workshops Blog

Here you can find out all the latest RSW news, get details of special offers & view projects made using rubber stamps. Most of the projects shown here will be made from Stampin' Up! products, as I'm an Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator, covering Cheshire & Greater Manchester.

New Clubs

We have some new clubs at Rubber Stamping Workshops!

Altrincham Rubber Stamping Group
We meet on the 1st Tuesday of each month, between 7-9pm, to share ideas & work on projects. Most people either bring projects to work on or purchase some card or a kit while at the meeting. There are many stamps & tools available for use, including Stampin' Up! products. There are products available to purchase at the meeting, eg. club kits, card, paper, embellishments & anyone interested in buying Stampin' Up! products can also place orders, as there's an independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator on site. We also meet on the 3rd Sunday of each month for a full day meeting. This runs from 10am to 4pm & a small project is included in the price. Lunch isn't included, so please bring your own.

Technique Club
As it's name suggests, this club is all about learning stamping techniques! Over time, you'll build up a fantastic technique portfolio, with step-by-step instructions plus a completed sample made by you! You'll also learn how to put these techniques into practice by creating projects at each meeting using your newly learned technique. The club meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, between 7-9.30pm.

At the meeting, you will receive step-by-step instructions & you'll make a sample to attach to your instructions & file in your folder. You'll then make some projects using the technique you've just learned. The cost per monthly meeting is £10, which includes refreshments, printed instructions, page protector (for filing) & all materials & equipment needed to make the sample & projects. You'll also receive full tuition on how to perform the technique.

Can't make the meeting? Not a problem - either collect your missed packs in person, or download the technique from this site. You can also be a virtual member & just download the techniques. You'll miss out on the fun of being taught the technique & making the projects, but you'll still get the step-by-step instructions & photos of some great samples.

Shoe Box Swap Club
If you've never been to a shoe box swap, then you don't know what you're missing! You simply design a project and prepare enough supplies for everyone in attendance to re-create it! You bring the stamps, ink, card, paper, embellishments and any "special" adhesive needed (like glue dots or Crystal Effects) in a shoebox or similar container, then rotate the boxes around the room completing each others' projects! We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, 7-9.30pm.

Chat & Challenge
Come along & have a cuppa & a chat with other local crafters, while indulging your competitive side with our crafting challenge! Each month we'll be offering a different challenge for you to join in with. This could be a sketch, a colour inspiration, using a particular tool, stamp or embellishment....we have a large range of challenges to keep you busy for months to come!

We meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month, between 7-9pm.

Hope you are all crafting in the warm while it's so cold outside.

Sorry - I know I've asked you some of these questions before, but I seem to have lost my data (long story but I've had a few problems with my laptop & have had to restore it back & have lost some data along the way - nothing for anyone to worry about).

Please could you complete as much of the following as you feel happy with & email it back to me. This data is purely for my own records & no information is ever passed onto anyone or any 3rd party. Once received, this data will not be stored on my web server - only on my laptop & backup disc, so should be unavailable to hackers. Hopefully this gives you peace of mind that the information you send back to me is safe! Here are the questions:

Sale-A-Bration Event Make & Takes

These are the Make & Take projects from my Sale-A-Bration event. The top picture shows the "Winter Warmer", which is a hot chocolate sachet, a packet of mini marshmallows & a stirrer - perfect for the snowy evenings we've been having recently!
The 2nd & 3rd pictures show a Ferrero Rocher treat holder, made using DSP, a punched scallop circle & some grosgrain ribbon. These would be great as wedding/party favours, as you could easily match the party colour scheme.
The 4th & 5th pictures show a lolly holder - this is cased from Jo (Jomumof4 on ILWS), another UK demo, but I've changed the top slightly so that it could be used for boys as well as girls. Very quick & easy to do - & a great way of using up your card & paper scraps! The DSP part of the holder, where the lolly is, can be held together with brads or with glue dots. I've used glue dots, as I thought it was a safer option for children. Thanks for the idea, Jo!

Sale-a-Bration Good Neighbors Samples

These are the samples I made for my Sale-a-Bration event, using the Good Neighbors set. The cards are 3x3 & the house is the box that the cards & envelopes are stored in - access is via the roof! Apologies for the quality of the photos - I didn't have good lighting.
